Car Washing & Drying
The safe way to wash — pH-neutral shampoos, scratch-free wash mitts & streak-free microfiber drying. Your complete wash ritual: prepare, wash, dry, seal.
The Full Wash Ritual — Wash, Dry, Glass & Seal
Most paint damage doesn't come from the road – it comes from the wash. Grit dragged across the surface, harsh shampoos that strip the wax, and hard drying that leaves swirls and water spots all take their toll. Swissvax pH-neutral shampoos remove dirt and road grime effectively without affecting your existing wax seal, while soft wash mitts and absorbent microfiber cloths clean and dry without mechanical pressure on the paint.
The routine is always the same: prepare, wash, dry, seal – gently, and in the right order. New to safe washing? Start with the complete Hand Wash Collection and you have everything for wash and dry in one box.
Start Here — The Hand Wash Collection
Everything for wash and dry in one box, at a better price than buying individually. Available as a 1-bucket or 2-bucket system.
Prepare
Before any shampoo touches the paint, knock off the loose dirt. Pressure wash the whole car to rinse away grit and road film, then clean the wheels first – they're the dirtiest part of the car. Loosen brake dust and grime with Wheel Spray Forte and agitate with the Wheel Brush and Wheel Bristle, so wheel contamination never ends up in your wash water.
Step 1 — Wash
Wash top to bottom with pH-neutral Car Bath, which lifts dirt without stripping your wax. Work with the soft Waschpudel mitt and the two-bucket method – one bucket for clean, soapy water, one to rinse. The Wash Bucket Dual System keeps both ready side by side, and the Aqua Revolver rinses the mitt fast so grit never returns to the surface.
Step 2 — Dry
Dry immediately to prevent water spots. Sheet off the bulk of the water with Hydra Lip, then dry streak-free with the large, absorbent Ultra Dry cloth – gently laid on and drawn across the surface, never scrubbed. Micro Dry and Micro Diamond handle mirrors, shuts, and tight areas. No pressure, no swirls, no residue.
Step 3 — Glass
Clean glass separately for perfect clarity. Crystal removes film, fingerprints, and traffic haze streak-free. Follow with Crystal Shield to add a hydrophobic layer that makes rain bead and roll off the windshield – noticeably better visibility in bad weather, and easier cleaning next time.
Step 4 — Seal & Finish (for waxed surfaces)
Refresh protection on already-waxed surfaces without a full re-wax. Lotos Speed restores water beading after each wash; for longer-lasting hydrophobic protection, Keramiq9 tops up the seal on paint, glass, and plastic – use one, not both on the same surface. Finish the wheels with Pneu and the Pneu Brush for clean, even, satin-black tires.
Understanding a Safe Car Wash
Washing is where paint is most often scratched – and where it's easiest to prevent. Here's how to wash, dry, and finish without ever marring the surface.
Why pH-Neutral Shampoo Matters
Aggressive, high-alkaline shampoos cut through dirt fast – but they also strip wax and sealants, dull the finish, and can etch sensitive surfaces over time. Swissvax shampoos are pH-neutral: they remove dirt and road grime effectively while leaving your existing wax seal intact, so protection lasts longer between applications. Car Bath is the gel concentrate for everyday washing.
Wheels First, Then the Two-Bucket Wash
Always start with the wheels – they carry the most abrasive brake dust and grime. Loosen it with Wheel Spray Forte and agitate with a wheel brush before you touch the paint, so that contamination never reaches your wash water. Then wash the body with the two-bucket method: one bucket for clean, soapy water, one to rinse the mitt after every panel. The soft Waschpudel Fine mitt pulls grit away from the surface, and the Wash Bucket Dual System keeps both buckets ready side by side.
Drying Without Streaks or Swirls
Letting a car air-dry leaves mineral water spots that bond to the finish; drying with hard pressure creates fresh swirls. Sheet off the bulk of the water first with Hydra Lip, then lay the large, plush Ultra Dry cloth onto the surface and draw it gently across – its high absorbency lifts water without scrubbing. Keep a smaller cloth on hand for mirrors, door shuts, and grille areas.
Crystal-Clear Glass, Better Wet-Weather Visibility
Glass needs its own dedicated cleaner for true clarity. Crystal removes film, fingerprints, and traffic haze without streaking. Follow with Crystal Shield, a hydrophobic glass sealant that makes rain bead and roll off the windshield at speed – improving visibility in bad weather and making the next clean far easier.
Refresh Your Seal — and Finish the Tires
On already-waxed paint you don't need a full re-wax after every wash. Lotos Speed restores water beading in minutes; for longer-lasting protection, Keramiq9 tops up a hydrophobic ceramic layer on paint, glass, and plastic – use one, not both on the same surface. Finish the wheels with Pneu and its brush for a clean, even satin-black look. When it's time for a full seal, prepare with a polish from our cleaning and polishing collection and reapply a carnauba wax.

Why Should You Use a pH-Neutral Car Shampoo?
High-alkaline shampoos strip wax and sealants and can dull or etch the finish over time. A pH-neutral shampoo removes dirt and road grime effectively while leaving your existing wax seal intact, so protection lasts longer between applications.
Car Bath is the pH-neutral gel concentrate for everyday washing.
-
Should You Wash the Wheels Before or After the Car?
Always clean the wheels first. They carry the most abrasive brake dust and grime, and doing them first keeps that contamination out of your wash water and off your mitt.
Loosen brake dust with Wheel Spray Forte and agitate with a wheel brush before you move on to the paint.
-
What Is the Two-Bucket Wash Method?
You use two buckets: one with clean, soapy water and one to rinse your mitt after every panel. This keeps loosened grit out of the wash water so it isn't dragged back across the paint, which is the main cause of wash swirls.
The Wash Bucket Dual System keeps both buckets ready, paired with a soft Waschpudel Fine mitt.

How Do You Get Streak-Free Glass?
Clean glass separately with a dedicated glass cleaner. Crystal removes film, fingerprints, and traffic haze without streaking.
For better wet-weather visibility, follow with Crystal Shield, a hydrophobic sealant that makes rain bead and roll off the windshield at speed.

Do You Need to Re-Wax After Every Wash?
No. On already-waxed paint you can simply refresh the protection. Lotos Speed restores water beading in minutes after a wash.
For longer-lasting protection, Keramiq9 tops up a hydrophobic ceramic layer – use either Lotos Speed or Keramiq9, never both on the same surface. When beading fades entirely, reapply a carnauba wax.
