Leather Care with SWISSVAX - For New and Well-Maintained Leather
Leather in a car's interior adds elegance and comfort, but requires different care depending on its age and condition. Swissvax offers comprehensive solutions for smooth leather, open-pore leather, vegan leather, and Alcantara. The coordinated system of cleaning, care, and sealing ensures optimal protection and long-lasting beauty – perfect for vehicle owners with the highest standards for their interiors.
Cleaning and Sealing for New and Used Leather
New leather does not require intensive care as it is already protected by the tanning process. However, it should be sealed to prevent abrasion and color transfer. Used leather, on the other hand, often becomes brittle and cracked, requiring thorough cleaning, moisturizing, and protection to restore its suppleness.
Care for New Smooth Leather
Cleaning:
- Leather Cleaner or for stronger soiling Leather Cleaner Forte.
- Apply the cleaner with the Cleaning Brush or a cleaning sponge using circular motions.
- Remove foam and dirt with a detailing cloth or the yellow Micro-Wash.
Sealing:
Apply Leather Glaze with a fine sponge in circular motions from seam to seam. The colorless seal protects against color transfer, dries in minutes, and leaves no shine.
Care for Used Smooth Leather
Cleaning:
- Clean the leather with Leather Cleaner or Leather Cleaner Forte and the Cleaning Brush.
- For perforated leather (e.g., ventilated seats), use a cleaning sponge.
- Remove foam with a soft cloth. Work in small sections.
Care:
After drying, apply Leather Milk thinly with a fabric applicator. This care emulsion is particularly suitable for leather that is at least five years old and has a dried-out surface. Leather Milk contains nutrients, UV filters, and antioxidants to keep leather supple and resilient.

- Leather Glaze: Protects new leather from color transfer and abrasion, applied with a fine sponge.
- Leather Healer: Ideal for seat bolsters, steering wheels, or armrests to repair worn colors and scratches.
- Gloss Corrector Matt and Gloss Corrector Shiny: Restore matte or shiny leather surfaces.
- Leather Softener: Makes hardened leather supple again through deep-acting care.
