Motorcycle Care – Step-by-Step Application Guides
High-pressure cleaning & hand washing
- Use a high-pressure cleaner to remove coarse dirt from the motorcycle. Keep a minimum distance of 50 cm from sensitive parts such as bearings, seals, and electronics.
- Spray Supreme Motorcycle Cleaner onto the cold, dry surface, spread with a brush, and leave to work for 1–2 minutes.
- Rinse gently, then wash with Motorcycle Wash (Bike Bath) and a Waschpudel. Use the two-bucket method: one bucket with clean water to rinse the mitt, one with Bike Bath.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry carefully with an Ultra-Dry microfiber cloth.
Hand polish & wax
- Clean and dry the paint surface thoroughly as described above.
- Apply Cleaner Fluid Regular with a Sponge Applicator in horizontal or vertical movements to remove fine scratches.
- Wipe off with a Micro-Fluffy cloth, then apply a thin layer of Bike Sheen Wax with an applicator. Allow 10–15 minutes to harden, then buff to a high gloss with a clean Micro-Fluffy. Avoid applying too much pressure.
Optional: Seal the wax layer additionally with Lotos Speed or KERAMIQ9 for extended durability.
Rim cleaning
- Clean the rims of coarse dirt with a high-pressure cleaner.
- Spray the cold rims with SWISSVAX Wheel Cleaner or Wheel Spray Forte.
Leave the product to work for 1-2 minutes. Use a soft rim brush to distribute the cleaner and remove dirt and brake dust. The SWISSVAX Wheel Spray Forte cleaner turns purple and thus shows its cleaning effect. - Rinse the rims thoroughly with clear water and dry them with a SWISSVAX Ultra-Dry.
Optional: Protect the rims afterwards with SWISSVAX Autobahn Wax for easier future cleaning.
Cleaning the matt paint by hand
- Use a high-pressure cleaner to remove coarse dirt. Keep a minimum distance of 50 cm from sensitive parts.
- Spray Supreme Motorcycle Cleaner onto the cold, dry surface, spread with a brush, and leave to work for 1–2 minutes.
- Rinse gently with the high-pressure cleaner.
- Wash with Motorcycle Wash Opaque and a Waschpudel. Use the two-bucket method and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry carefully with an Ultra-Dry microfiber cloth.
Pre-treatment & wax for matt paints
- Clean the matte paint with Motorcycle Pre-Cleaner Opaque to remove old sealants, impurities, and oil traces.
- Apply a thin layer of Bike Sheen Opaque Wax with an applicator.
- Do not allow the wax to harden – buff gently with a Micro-Fluffy cloth. Avoid too much pressure.
Optional: Seal additionally with Lotos Speed or KERAMIQ9.
